Drumtroddan Cup and Ring Marks, nr Port William, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, 2.1.18.

The Neolithic or early Bronze Age marks were created at any point between 3500 BCE and 1000 BCE. Why and who made them remains a mystery but the close proximity of the markings to the Drumtroddan Standing Stones suggests some contemporary relationship. The sunlight at the point of visiting this site was favourable in helping to capture their extensive nature in the bedrock.
