As it is Labor Day here in America, we have a coin this week showing Hercules recovering from one of his labors, in this case the defeat of the Nemean Lion.
In America, the Labor Movement protested and went out on strike to secure rights for workers, including the weekend. Their efforts were highly effective, though I’m pretty sure Hercules’ tactics worked too, he just bashed people with his club to make them go away when he didn’t feel like working.
