fossil_librarian Here’s a beautiful chunk of petrified wood from outside Yellowstone National Park. We think it’s from a Sycamore tree that was buried in a volcanic eruption 50 million years ago. 🌳
Now what’s going on in the background? If you’ve been keeping up with my story you’ll know we got an enormous loan return of tiny mammals – mostly rodents. My volunteers and I are working to put all these 100s of specimens away. Which has required some tetris-like reorganizing of the mammal collection. ⚒
